H.E.L.P.

Recently, Jayden has this really weird habit at night when he sleeps. He likes to put his hands inside his pants and play with his little friend. And when that happens, his little friend will face upwards. So u can guess what happens next...

Yes... when he pees, it 'shoots' upwards, and his PJs will all get wet... especially his pants and a bit of his shirt, tummy too. Argghhh.. of cos he will wake up and start crying... cos discomfort what. Really annoying... so now we have no choice but to resort to putting on mittens on his hands! So far it works... but of cos sometimes he rubs his eyes etc. and it falls off. But we can't be waking up all the time just to check if the mittens are on, so far so good... hopefully this peculiar habit will go away soon!

It's funny cos when we look at him, it's like a 'big' baby with mittens on hahah....

Do any of ur boys have this really funny habit?

8 friends spoke up!:

hmmm....this is new to me. Ethan would occassionally do it but not persistently. He thinks it is fun touching his little friend. I discourage it by telling him his urine would dirty his hands and being a cleanliness freak, he would retract his hands. See if it works for Jayden?

So far, it never happen to Ryan yet.
Maybe you can try tell Jayden not to do it again. Talk to him nicely.
Does he still using diaper at night?

At this stage, they will begin to explore their body.

Maybe you can use the idea of Contendedmom and tell him about its dirty to play with his lil fren and also let him wear jumper.

contentedmom, mery, yes he is still doing it even though I tell him it's dirty & wrong... hai!I don't think he realises the consequences yet.

Mery, yes still wearing diaper.

yugene, mummymoon, that was an excellent idea, I went to mothercare to get nightsuits immediately... costly but it pays to have a good sleep :)

Joanne, thanks for the advice :)

My boy has this bad habit too. And he only plays with it when he is drinking his milk!!!! I dont know how to stop him cos he is 2.5 yrs old now!!! I talked to him, explained, hit him, still he does it. But at least now he will stop when he sees us approaching!
