Explosion @ Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya

A very unfortunate incident took place in the wee hours of 28th September, a day all Subang residents will remember. There was an explosion affecting the lower ground and ground floors of Empire Shopping Gallery in Subang Jaya that shook SS16, SS17 and as far as SS14. Cause of explosion is due to gas leak at one of the restaurants. No names have been given, and the mall has since been closed to public for further investigations.

A very quiet and lonely looking building which is normally bustling and full of vitality. The 'E' which normally lights up at night is off, not used to this sight at all, hope you'll light up soon 'E'.

Blood boiling moment

Jayden has this bad habit of running around like a wild monkey out of its cage these days. In the malls or any public places for that matter.

This evening as usual he ran and ran ahead of us without looking back, which means we have to chase him right? And if he sees us chasing him, he'll run even faster... Tell u... James and I got damn frustrated and angry cos we told him many many times not to do it!!!

'cannot run around like that! What if someone catches u? What if mummy and daddy can't find u? You'll have to sleep in the mall alone! You cannot go home with us and you'll cry all by yourself!'

With all these scolding and lecturing, it can only last for a while before he RUNS again... Sigh anyone experiencing the same thing?

Anyway, so this evening scolded from the mall, all the way to the car park and inside the car still lecturing him, guessed what he replied to daddy very calmly?

Dad buys a LIE DETECTOR ROBOT which slaps people when they lie. He decides to test it at dinner.
"Son, where were you today?" The son says "at school dad.
" Robot slaps the son! "Ok, I watched a dvd at my friends house!"
"What dvd?" "Toy story." Robot slaps the son again! "Ok, it was a porno" cries the son. Dad yells "What! When I was your age I didn't know what porn was!" Robot then slaps the dad! Mom laughs "HaHaHa! He's certainly YOUR son." Robot then slaps the mom!!!!! ~~~

Homemade Western Meal ala Kristie

I admit I love to eat, I love food, I'm a glutton!

Eating out these days can really cost a bomb. Who doesn't like to dine out and be served rather than to be busily chopping and sweatin' out in the kitchen eh? Oh well... sometimes have to cut back on dining out, and who will be willing to cook in the kitchen? Mummy lah.... Have to try and save money as we have upcoming plans to give our home a 'facelift', changing doors/door frames/bedroom flooring/wallpaper/new furniture etc... that will be another post :-)

Ok back to the subject... I was in the mood for Western today, cracked my head the whole day and came up with this for dinner.... :-)

Phuket Trip

We were in Phuket for a 4D3N stay... there were 6 of us altogether, my parents, my sis and the 3 of us :-)

This time round, we didn't stay right smack in the heart of Patong, in fact, we stayed about an hour's drive away, nestled along Mai Khao Beach. Therefore, we rented a car to get around, all road signages were very clear and with the help of a GPS, we could go anywhere we wanted!

This is trip was planned to coincide with my 2 darlings' birthdays, Jayden & Daddy, which was just 4 days apart. Also to take my parents for a good trip, just rest and relax... they deserve a good break!

No fixed itinerary... no packaged tours etc........ just rest and relax! It was sheer bliss.... :-)

The minute we checked into the villa, we headed to the nearest hypermarket which was Tesco Lotus, to stock up on food and drinks so that no one will go hungry hehe... and we also planned to make our own breakies every morning...!

And as usual, every trip ends so quickly when we are enjoying ourselves every single second & minute of everyday!

Planning another vacation!

Hubs was pretty lucky to receive Firefly vouchers from a bank recently when he went to do some banking! I'm sure you must be wondering how come so good right? Well to cut long story short... bank made a mistake and to 'make up' for it, they compensated hubs with some vouchers such as this below and a free hotel stay :-)

Of cos I wasted no time to plan a vacation......... where to? :-)

 Somewhere with sun kissing my skin, sand below my feet and the sea to wash my troubles away....

I'm SO excited.............. :-)

Just got back from Phuket few days ago... Will post pix soon of our unforgettable Phuket vacation!
