Crocs for Jay Jay

Thanks to Mummygwen, I finally managed to find 'cheaper' crocs in town! :) I've always wondered how so many parents can actually buy a pair of crocs for their little ones, and each pair costs almost the same as an adult's! I am sure many parents would love to offer the best for their kids, but for me, I wouldn't spend so much for something which will only be used for a short while. In that regard, I'm quite a practical person :)

Anyway, one day, I actually read from mummygwen's post that she bought a pair of crocs shoes for Gwen and a pair of flip flops for herself. And I couldn't believe that she got it at such a cheap price! If not for her, I wouldn't know such stuffs existed... thank God for bloggers like her who likes to share bargains and other good stuffs :) xie xie ni, terima kasih, nandri, kamsahamnida, kopkunka, salamat po, gracias, thanks!!! :) hahah... can't think of other languages for thanks :p

I, too, cannot resist bargains when I see one. I get a thrill when I come back with bags of stuffs gotten from sales etc. rather than branded stuffs from boutiques. Pretty cheapskate lah I know... but what to do? Now most of the time, when we go out, most of the shopping bags are stuffs for our Jayden boy, and not so much ours... priorities really changed after being parents :)

Ok, back to crocs. When we arrived there, we saw so many crocs of various colours and sizes, for kids, male and female. Couldn't resist getting 2 pairs for Jayden, 2 sizes as well, so he will be able to wear it over a stretch of time. I was thinking since we already went all the way there and don't know when we might go back there again, I'd better 'stock up'... kiasu mummy :p

I tried on sandals/flip flops for myself too, but either no size or it wasn't the colour I fancied. My hubby also didn't really fancy much stuffs there... he said he didn't need it and he rarely shops for his own stuffs anyway, his clothes/shoes etc can last really long... men men :) I love u darling for always placing us above all!

Muaks!!!! xoxo :)

Impromptu meeting!

Last weekend, I decided to have an impromptu meet-up with Joanne after we casually conversed in FB. Since we didn't meet up for a long time, and it'll be nice to just catch up and see her darling Sarah, without any planning in advance, we just set a time and date instantaneously!

Actually, I've always liked to do things spontaneously, without any planning if possible... I find my life too routine and boring if everything is always planned... what to eat, where to go etc etc... Furthermore as a SAHM, nothing gets more boring than routines, agree SAHMs? :)

Anyway, it was such a lovely meeting with Joanne and her family, as we have met several times before, it was like what Joanne mentioned, seeing an old friend :) When I saw Sarah, I wanted to just give her a hug and kiss immediately! She looked so pretty with her hair groomed by mummy, and she looked so shy and cute... aiyoh I just love little girls hehe... Joanne looked good too, much slimmer :) It's always good to look good for yourself! Well done babe.

Jayden so happened was napping when they arrived. He woke up shortly after they arrived and when he came down with Daddy, he had a very surprised look on his face, with visitors in the living room hehe... but I'm glad he didn't cry, he's my big boy. He was just very curious for a while, of cos took some time to warm up to his visitors :) Soon after, he was happily playing with Sarah and taking photos already with the vainpot mummies haha...

Sarah is really a lucky gal to have Joanne & hubby as her parents, both daddy and mummy are so jovial, so cheery, it's very important for kids to grow up in a happy environment, Sarah will grow up to be one happy girl! She's grown so much since the last time I saw her... been taken cared very well by Joanne! :)

Thanks Joanne for the thoughtful gestures too, the gifts are well received by our tummies hehe.

And yes, we should start thinking soon for the next date! :)

Happy 15 mths Jayden!

My pumpkin boy turns 15 mths today! He turns a month older on the 1st of every month, time really flies!!!

He is definitely portraying more of his character traits day by day. Very talkative too, totally comprehends whatever we are saying. When he hears a vehicle horns, he will say 'bop bop'... hahah so cute :) I love to hear that so I will always say 'bop bop', and he will repeat after me, cheap thrill haha! Also knows how to go take his shoes when he knows we are going out, kai kai.

Really should take the time to jot down all his advancements, too many to remember sometimes. Oh yes, and he really loves those kiddy rides out at the mall! :)

H.E.L.P.

Recently, Jayden has this really weird habit at night when he sleeps. He likes to put his hands inside his pants and play with his little friend. And when that happens, his little friend will face upwards. So u can guess what happens next...

Yes... when he pees, it 'shoots' upwards, and his PJs will all get wet... especially his pants and a bit of his shirt, tummy too. Argghhh.. of cos he will wake up and start crying... cos discomfort what. Really annoying... so now we have no choice but to resort to putting on mittens on his hands! So far it works... but of cos sometimes he rubs his eyes etc. and it falls off. But we can't be waking up all the time just to check if the mittens are on, so far so good... hopefully this peculiar habit will go away soon!

It's funny cos when we look at him, it's like a 'big' baby with mittens on hahah....

Do any of ur boys have this really funny habit?

Happy 14 mths old darling!

Jayden is now 14 mths +, time really flies! My relatives and grandparents, in fact most people always tell me that kids from 1-2 yrs old are the cutest and most fun to play with! I must say it's quite true... since Jayden started walking, we've been so busy! Both in and out of the house, we have to keep a good watch on this lil' fella.

His steps are very stable now, so he can walk pretty quickly to things that he wants, and places he wants to go to. We also try to go out more often to open places to let him walk freely. He's so cute, when we want to go out or when he wants to go out, he will go and take his shoes and wants to wear them, so adorable!

Will be heading down to JB this weekend to visit my grandparents, and also for Jayden to spend some time with them, their great grandson :)

Thanks to you know who you are, who gently reminded me to update my blog hehe... Cheers babe!

Darling Sista's Birthday!

Celebrated my sis's birthday last month, remember I mentioned before that August is full of birthdays for my family? Jayden's, James's and then my sis's, Sept will be my mum's followed by my dad in Oct... Will update the others later :)

We brought her to a lovely Korean restaurant in Subang, SS15, it's actually very nice and cosy, to draw the younger crowd, the food served is more Korean street food style. Something different from the traditional Korean restaurant with bbq etc. We tried the food there once and was very pleased with the service, food and ambience. So since we've been raving abt it to my sis, we decided to buy her a good birthday dinner there!

Pictures will speak for itself... the food was delish... service excellent and ambience very cozy indeed :) I particular loved the variety of Korean pancakes there and the BBQ meat on sticks, excellent!

Made her a Lemon Cheesecake, requested by birthday girl :)

Happy birthday chen! Muuuuaaks! xoxo

Here's sharing a slice of joy with ya :)

Hi everyone!

Been busy lately, hiding myself in the kitchen and trying out new recipes...! Mooncakes galore! Snowskin mooncakes, jelly mooncakes, baked traditional mooncakes... so many recipes to try out but so little time!

Dragonfruit Jelly Mooncakes I made today

Anyway been also busy with Jayden since he started walking... he's so adorable!!! The minute we put him down now, he's crazy over walking and sometimes even tries to run!

We went to Jusco yesterday and decided to buy him his very 1st pair of shoes. We have sandals and other shoes for him, but this pair is significant as it stamps his milestone of walking! :)

Will update more soon ya!
